The existence of Student Affair & Alumni Affairs (HEPA) in a IPTA is a must and the role of this department is important in preparing and ensuring student services as well as agencies in developing character and potential students.

A HEPA department interest in UUM is reflected in every aspect especially in the aspect of the management of all 15 of the DPP which occupied a total number of 20,000 students. In addition, the HEPA is also responsible to plan, manage, monitor and handle most activities for students and operators of key activities such as Orientation Week, Convocation Expo, Election Council and others.

The total staff of 260 people HEPA also proves that HEPA is a very important department role and responsibilities are enormous as complementary aspects of the academic lecture hall. Good academic record would not be completed without equipped with a range of other skills; especially establishment of Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM) is to expand the ongoing management education. The goal is to create a resource of trained and educated professionals.

Outstanding construction professionals should be balanced between academic and personal development. This is very important to achieve the vision and development of the country in the future.

To achieve this, the Department of Student Affairs is responsible for the planning environment towards student personal development. Two areas of emphasis are:

• Services to students
